How can we vitalize JimmySole.com. Obviously you the reader has made it clear that you do not want to hear from me much. So how can we turn this site into an active community where people are conversing even in Jimmy’s absence. I feel like things are starting to slow down and people are started to lose interest. How do you think we could get back some of that initial interest that was generated at launch? What can be done? Would anyone want to contribute PHP knowledge either here or elsewhere (In the case that Jimmy doesn’t want it on his front page prehaps you could contribute in the forum or we can provide you with another website or blog to tie in with Jimmy’s), or are you just looking to be feed? In short what would you like to see on and around JimmySole.com.

Jimmy could you do a post explaining how to access your apache web server and set up virtual domains, perhaps for a platform such as wordpress mu. I could really use some explanation concerning what exactly apache does and how to use it properly, as I am sure there are many other people out there that would be interesting in hearing about apache. So please Jimmy write about apache for us.
Update:Specificlly, in reference to my inspiration for this question it turns out that many hosting platforms such as dreamhost do not allow you to access apache for security reasons. Therefore the only way to get your Apache configured is by working with their support team.

Well, it’s been a bit since my last post. I’ve been busy working on the gaming league I was asked to make. It’s coming along, I am almost finished with the admin section. Haven’t finished the database backend yet, but thats next on the agenda.

Well I don’t know about you guys, but I am really wanting php 5.3 to come out :(. It adds to the sweetness of PHP, by adding namespaces, late static binding, lambada functions, NOWDOC support, and various other additions. I really am looking forward to the stable release of PHP 5.3 (which is due in mid october?). It just proves PHP is the best ;).

Considering how Jimmy’s fan base has been growing considerable since this blog came back online, about a week ago now. I have decided to start a forum for all or Jimmy’s fans, and anyone else interested in PHP and life. Being that most everyone is probably interested in life the forum is for all, and will remain open to all; so long as everyone behaves in a manner respectful towards one another. So without any further ado I unveil the New JimmySole.com Forum. JimmySole.com/forum; simple enough I think. Enjoy.

Well, after a friend has told me that Zend Framework is worth being used, I installed it and have been reading up on the zend framework pdf guide (http://downloads.zend.com/framework/1.6.0/ZendFramework1.6.pdf). There is alot of classes written, so going through each one will take some time, but I think it’s worth the effort to review all of them so I can use them effectively. I have long been a fan of making my own code, but have lately been leaning toward the side of using pre made code to save time and frankly, use code that is better than mine (haha). I have to say though, the ZF is well thought out and written. I am looking forward to fully learning it and using it in my projects.

After doing some thinking, I will not be writing PHP tutorials on this blog as it is mainly for my views on PHP and my life. Sorry to all those who were wanting me too, but I feel this is for the best.

Well apparently it seems that some people have been abusing the comment system. This is unfortunate, as I was hoping for real comments, not just stupid ones. I will be writing PHP tutorials in the near future (first one coming today). Hope everyone has a good day!
