Well, it’s been a bit since my last post. I’ve been busy working on the gaming league I was asked to make. It’s coming along, I am almost finished with the admin section. Haven’t finished the database backend yet, but thats next on the agenda.

Well I don’t know about you guys, but I am really wanting php 5.3 to come out . It adds to the sweetness of PHP, by adding namespaces, late static binding, lambada functions, NOWDOC support, and various other additions. I really am looking forward to the stable release of PHP 5.3 (which is due in mid october?). It just proves PHP is the best .

Well I’ve been using PDO (PHP Data Objects) lately as opposed to the mysqli class. Only problem is, I don’t know how to retrieve the the number of rows (like $dbh->num_rows($query) in the mysqli class), but I am not finding anything like that in PDO. I could just be stupid and it’s probably staring me in the face, but I don’t know. Any help would be appreciated .
