Well I don’t know about you guys, but I am really wanting php 5.3 to come out
. It adds to the sweetness of PHP, by adding namespaces, late static binding, lambada functions, NOWDOC support, and various other additions. I really am looking forward to the stable release of PHP 5.3 (which is due in mid october?). It just proves PHP is the best

Jimmy could you explain a little more about the sorts of things these new features will enable us to do with PHP 5.3? For example what type of applications might these new features enable us to build? Can we make better e commerce sites, forum, databases, or some other applications; what exactly can be done with these new features? Also what practical applications do these new features have if you are looking at PHP 5.3 from a website owner or web surfer’s perspective?

You really should put the author name somewhere in the post! Anyway good post – I’m glad to see we start talking serious PHP here

I understand you want to hear from Jimmy Sole, and there may be a few things you would say different to Jimmy than you would say to me; and that is understandable. Nonetheless, whether Jimmy or I write a post it should not substantially change what you think about it. If a generic brand product is clearly as good as or better than a name brand product would you discount the generic simply because it is not the name brand? I would hope not. An article ought to be judged on its own merits not based on who wrote it. If an article does not have merit fine say so; whether it is Jimmy’s or mine I believe you would say so in a respectful manner. While we may yet add the author to the post, I hope that we can agree that whether you know the author or not it is still possible to add a respectful comment that brings something to the table. Lastly, my articles were not fake; they were very much real and accurate. Jimmy just reached a decision that it would be better to take them down in order to help alleviate some of the confusion, and of course once Jimmy came back the articles speaking about him being gone were no longer necessary.

I agree with JohnIdol and I would also appreciate the author. The brand makes the difference and I would just like to skip admin’s posts.
